“Despite how easy it is to be cynical about society, I believe the world is brim full of fantastic people. If not, I somehow have the luck of meeting them everywhere I go.” – Haley Rue
On March 19, 2015, senior Ashtyn Glasser presented her Senior Project as a Memorial Chapel and stage dedication to Haley Ann Rue. She was part of the graduating class of 2013. Haley was going into her second year at Harvard University when she passed away unexpectedly.
Her mother, Janet Rue, once said, “Haley lived her life with so much passion, brilliance and gratitude; she made everyone around her just that much better. She often wished there were more hours in the day. There was so much more she wanted to accomplish.”
While she was with us, Haley accomplished quite a bit and was an integral part of the MRLHS community. She was involved in countless activities including basketball, speech and debate, and theater. We are blessed to have known Haley; her impact on our community at MRLHS is long-lasting.
